Phil, Michelle and the team have been brilliant for me. Having put my van in with them after an extended period off the road they have done engine work, body work and suspension to name a few. Dream Day Campers completed a full restoration on my 1971 split screen campervan. They collected the vehicle from Manchester and delivered it to their workshop in Southampton. They restored the cargo floor and rebuilt the engine. The vehicle has also had a stunning full interior and exterior restoration. The team continue to regularly maintain my vehicle at their workshop in Southampton.
We used Dream Day Campers for our wedding transport. The campers were beautiful and the service in the run up to the wedding and on the day was excellent. We would recommend to any couples looking to add that special touch to their day!
I would like to thank Phil and Michelle for helping me achieve a lifes dream of owning my very own Splitscreen bus. We bought a 1969 Splitscreen imported from brazil and with team it has been completely restored to a very high standard the proof being it passed its first Uk MOT first time! We are so happy with the outcome and look foward to making some great memories!
BEWARE,This company would try and fix a radiator on an aircooled, and then charge you for the liberty! I entrusted them to complete an engine rebuild on my t25 CU unit. As an advertised classic vw repair garage, I though they may have an idea as to how to do this. I could not have been more wrong. I was told it was a very difficult engine to work on and parts were scarse or not available. They were happy to take 1k for parts to rebuild the bottom end though. 3 months passed and I was sent a list of parts they could not source. Within a few hours I had sourced all these parts on the Internet. I was then told, because of the delay in parts they would check what work would be needed for MOT. My van was totally stripped of the interior (at a cost of 650 to me) and a quote of 5k was given to weld the van. I decided at this point to get the van back as my faith in the company had all but run out. Communication then became very poor and very difficult to get van back. When I finally did get it back I was shocked to find the engine still in pieces and thrown carelessly in the boot of the van. The whole interior was also spread over the back and the only thing fitted was the drivers seat. I have also noted that many parts from the interior and exterior are missing. The van is now with a specialist who has interestingly charged 1500 for welding. He also had to completely rebuild the engine as it had been put together so badly by dream days. In summary, if you like paying out a load of money for your vw to be destroyed, and have parts stolen, this is the company to use.
