I sold my treasured, family owned MGB for 28 years through Barons last month.I found the Baron's service before the auction, and after without fault. A wonderful team. All very knowledgable about the prices of classic cars and what the cars actually are. The website was very easy to use, and the auction catalogue displayed my car brilliantly. I got above and beyond what I was expecting for her on the day.One day I will buy another classic, and I will 100% use Barons. I look forward to being the bidder this time though and not the seller. Many thanks to Peter, Tony, Tim and the team.

Recently sold my 1960 Mini and achieved a good price. Excellent staff to deal with, kept me informed at all times.

Very misleading entry to Sept 18 Auction. Lot described as Triumph TR5 when it is TR250 that has been converted and nowhere in the description does it make this clear. Does it matter? Yes, as TR5 much more valuable. This does not enhance the reputation of this auction house and I thought they would have known better

Spent 2 hours travelling up to see a mk1 MGB in 2015. The doormen told us we only had 15 minutes to see the car as they were closing soon (even though it clearly stated on the website they were meant to be open for another hour). This MGB was in terrible condition and clearly had a quick coat of paint and underseal to hide all the problems. After opening the door, we couldn't close the door anymore as it had dropped (obviously the sills were rotten, thus couldnt support the car and A posts). One of the doormen came over was was incredibly rude to me and my father telling us we need to leave and we shouldnt be touching the car. As a result we will never buy from Barons.

I bid on a vehicle through Barons Auctions in good faith, having been told - pre-auction - that the vehicle I was bidding on had been rebuilt using the original body shell. At the same time, I had been in conversation with Karen and had provided my credit card details to pay for the cost of the telephone calls (an agreed maximum of 20), with the intention of later settling the vehicle purchase invoice if successful through a single funds transfer.I also asked for written confirmation that the vehicle was as I'd been told by Barons Principal- rebuilt using the original body shell. I received no response to this and so, after suspecting that things were amiss, I checked my accounts and was horrified to see that considerable funds had been deducted from my credit card without my permission. The car itself was indeed not with its original body shell and on top of that the car would barely run. I repaired and resold the car, declaring it correctly, and suffered a 26,000 loss. The matter is known to Barons as I have tried to deal with them through legal channels to no avail. I have mailed all of the relevant information to Barons Auctions' Directors and may update this review should I receive a positive response.
